William R. "Big Bill" Weaver

William R. "Big Bill" Weaver, age 83, of Columbus, Georgia passed peacefully in his sleep at his home on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 11:00 am in Parkhill Cemetery with Pastor Michael McBride officiating.

William was born June 27, 1937 to the late Eula Mae Lee Weaver and Ingram R. Weaver. He married Carol E. Smith in Miami, Florida on November 12, 1960. He was in the Air Force and was a member of North Highland Assembly of God. He owned Columbus Dodge and Cars R' Us and also worked at Bill Heard Chevrolet.

William is survived by his wife, Carol Smith Weaver; daughter, Susan Jordan (Tim); son, William Alan Weaver (Faith); grandchildren, C.J. Watson (Jessica), Ericka Weaver Sloan (Ben), William Harley Weaver, Jodi Jeter (Johnnie), and Kristin Terstriep (Keith); and great-grandchildren Triston, Chandlor, Remi Lea, William Ray, Aidan and Noah.

Other than his parents, William was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Stacey Weaver, and brothers, Rannie Weaver and Samuel Weaver.
