A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023 in Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Don Butler officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. GA.
William Howard Parham was born in Clarkesville GA, to Furman Merritt Parham and Sallie Sue Carson Parham on Feb 21st. 1929. He attended Clarkesville High School and North Georgia College. Howard married his High School sweetheart Betty Moselle Taylor and they had three sons William Jr. (Bill) Robert (Bob) and Michael.
He worked from 1951 to 2000 at Columbus Mills and ended his career there as Vice President & Chief Operating Office as well as a Member of the Board of Directors. Howard was a lifelong member of Hilton Terrace Baptist Church until relocating to Louisiana 6 years ago. He loved to fish and did so in many places in North America and Alaska and Mexico. Howard is preceded in death by his loving wife Betty and his sons William Howard Parham, Jr. and Robert Courtenay Parham.
Survivors include his son Michael E. Parham and his wife Linda, children Ryan, Seth, and Courtenay, William Jr’s wife, Troyanne Parham , children Sallie, Taylor, Trey and Haley, and Robert’s wife Sharon, children Brandon, Lauren and Kate.
