Scott had fond memories of growing up on Madden Drive in Columbus. He and his two brothers were all close in age and enjoyed a whirlwind of activities and happy times. He also had many cherished long-time friends, some who he had known from birth and many others met in elementary school and high school. Scott's great love of animals and the outdoors led him to a life of hunting, sportsmanship, and property management throughout Alabama and Georgia. Spending the better part of three decades managing Kawikee Plantation for James Butler, taking 1600 acres of raw land and working tirelessly to make it into a sportsman's paradise lakes, quail, deer, turkey, fish, sunflower fields, dog kennels and horse barns. He truly was in his element out on that land and on his family's hunting preserve, Greenfield, in Pittsview, Alabama.
His daughters loved him more than words can express. His tender heart and kind soul made him the perfect "girl dad" and managed being a single parent gracefully. He will live in his family's hearts forever, and his love of the outdoors will live on through his three grandboys. His girls will forever be grateful he was their dad.
