Stanley was born December 5, 1945 in Pine Grove, AL, son of the late Walter and Lorene Adkins. He graduated from Baker High School in 1964 and received an associate degree in Fire Science from Chattahoochee Valley Community College in 1984. Stanley served the citizens of Columbus as fire fighter and retired after 25 years of service.
Stanley was proud of his service with the Columbus Fire Department, as he always wanted to help others in their time of need. Additionally, he also served the Columbus real estate community for over 20 years through his systems inspections business. He loved college football and watching his cherished Georgia Bulldogs on Saturdays. Most importantly, he always treasured spending time with his family as much as possible.
In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Keith Adkins.
