Wesley Ladd Foster, age 50 of Columbus, passed away on April 10, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 15, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day-Saints, 4400 Reese Rd, Columbus, Georgia. Visitations will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the St. Elmo room at Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus, Georgia and on Saturday morning before the services, from 9: 00 am until 10:45 am.
Wes was born in American Samoa, a son to Daniel Wesley Foster and Sally Taimalietane Ieremia. He graduated from Leone High School. He then went to and graduated from Pacific University in Oregon with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and Theater Design. Wes married the love of his life, Tina Wabol on September 21, 1996, in Pago Pago, American Samoa and they were sealed as a family for time and all eternity in the Atlanta LDS Temple, on February 13, 2015. They are the parents of two children.
Wes’s greatest joy and love was being a husband, father, and teacher. He was a gifted artist. Wes enjoyed being a mentor and teacher and was most recently employed at Faith Middle School at Fort Benning, Georgia
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Justina, a daughter Tumua, a son, Sam; a grandson Tapu and many other family members. Wes touched many lives, those that had the opportunity to meet or befriend him were most fortunate. Wes will be missed by many friends and family members.
