Virginia Allen Ward

Virginia was the owner and operator of Allen Pest Control, a member of The GA Pest Control, and The Columbus and Phenix City Pest Control Associations. She was Baptist by faith and loved her church family. Virginia was a fun loving Mother, Grandmother and great Grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, card games, and her pets. Virginia will always be remembered as a kind-hearted, giving, and a self-disciplined Christian Business Woman.

A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907. A Celebration of Virginia's Life will follow in Edgewood Hall from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM with Rev. Udell Addison officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband John C. Allen, husband Lawrence Ward, and brother Earl Brown. She is survived by: sons John (Donna) Allen, Lonnie (Merry) Allen, and Carl (Patricia) Allen; sisters Betty Slaper and Effie Allen Cast; grandchildren David (Danielle) Allen, Amy (Jon) Settles, Justin Allen, and Blake (Sarah) Allen, great grandchildren Sara Settles, Eligan Allen and Madelyn Allen; nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
