Thomas William Tillman

Bill was born in Phoenix City, AL to Thomas Wesley and Bernice Scott Tillman. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Annie Laura Tillman and his children Bob (Debbie) Tillman of Smyrna, GA and Jane (Robert) Wiggins of Spanish Fort, AL. He is also survived by his sister, Pam (Bill) Howard, grandchildren, Ashley and Ben Tillman and Caye and Thomas Wiggins and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Tillman was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Peggy Tillman Van Patten, Anne Tillman Lammon, and Patricia Tillman Myer and by his grandson, Robbie Tillman.

Mr. Tillman was a member of First Baptist Church in Newnan for 42 years prior to moving to Columbus and joining Wynnbrook Baptist Church. He is retired from Georgia Power where he worked for 44 years at various locations throughout Georgia. He is a member of Georgia Power Ambassadors of Columbus, a mason, and a veteran of the Korean War.

The funeral will be at 3 PM on Thursday at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 with visitation an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. Dr. Kevin Calhoun will officiate.
