Born on November 28, 1950 was a precious daughter given the name Sybil Marie Gosa by her loving parents Sybil Ernest Gosa and JC Gosa. She was raised in Smithville, Georgia with her seven sisters and brothers. Most of her life she worked as a seamstress. Sybil lived in Florida and upon retirement, shortly after she moved back to Americus, Georgia to be close to her daughter, Jennifer and her beloved grandchildren, Riley and Ansley. Sybil was Christian by faith and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sybil was called home to heaven on Sunday, December 26, 2021.
Sybil was a loving mother, ma-ma, sister and aunt. She had a heart of gold, loved everyone and everyone loved her. Sybil will be greatly missed, she lives on in the hearts of her loved ones.
She leaves her loving memory to be cherished by her daughter, Jennifer Hodge Veal and her husband Allen Veal; her very adored grandchildren: Riley Veal and Ansley Veal; her sisters and brothers: Mary Jones, Gary Gosa, Brenda Perryman, Janice Rodriquiez, and Randy Gosa; numerous nieces and nephews. Sybil was preceded in death by her parents, Sybil and JC Gosa; and two of her siblings: Joy Nixon and Johnnie Gosa.
Sybil’s family would like to send a heartfelt “Thank You” to Kindred Hospice and her hospice nurse Kimberly and hospice CNA Marilyn for their compassion, support, and love given to Sybil and her family while under their care.
