Susan Ann Barbee

Susan Ann Barbee, 62 of Columbus, GA lost her long battle with cancer early Friday morning, May 30, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House, one day shy of her 63rd birthday. Susan was born in Columbus, GA, May 31, 1951 to the late Shelly Gerald Miller and Mary Fuller Miller.

The family will receive guests from 10:00-11:00 AM Monday, June 2, 2014 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus, GA, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM in Edgewood Hall. The family will then have a private interment. Rev. Jeremy Rands will be officiating.

Susan was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her mother Mary Pennington, her ex-husband Donald Barbee, her daughter; Dawn McLendon(Jarrell) of Phenix City, AL, and one son; Jonathan Barbee and special friend Alan Hammock of Phenix City, AL.

Susan was an accomplished Water Color Artist, Legal Secretary, Mother, Daughter and friend. She attended Ladonia Baptist Church, and shared her Art skills in classes at Columbus State.
