Born in Lake City, Florida to Patricia Weadon and Glenn Canitberry, Sherry moved to the Columbus area in 1972 where she met her husband of 31 years, Mike. Sherry had several passions in life, but enjoyed the precious moments spent with family the most. Sherry was known for her genuine care and compassion for others, always putting the needs of others before her own.
Being an avid dog lover, Sherry sought to help injured and orphaned dogs through donations to various organizations.
Recently, Sherry celebrated 20 years as an Aflac employee where she worked as a Senior Quality Auditor.
Sherry loved her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family with grace and humility. The world has lost such a great example of unconditional love, but the legacy she left will last forever.
She is survived by her husband, Mike, of Columbus, GA; daughters, Kimberly Mills of Columbus, GA, Kayla Ramsden (Andy) of Canton, GA, and Kellie of Columbus, GA; her sisters, Claudia Rogers, Zelma Perkinson (Bo), Jo Cantiberry, and Erin Weber (Jamey); granddaughters, Brittany Duffy, Cassidy Mills, and Hadley Ramsden; and nieces and nephews.
The family invites you to join a Celebration of Life for Sherry on Friday, June 5 at 2 pm at the Chapel at Striffler-Hamby. Visitation will take place from 1 pm-2pm.
