Born in Abbeville, Alabama to the late Earl and Louise Parker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Higdon was preceded in death by her first husband: George Turner, and husband, Bill Higdon, a sister; Ruthie Mae DelFrate, and a daughter; Wanda Jean Thordson.
She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Noakes (Del); two sisters, Jean Mooneyham and Gladys Stoe; one brother, CW Parker (Jerry); a son-in-law, Randal Thordson; six grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
