Randall attended Jordan Vocational High School and he graduated in 1965. He then met and married his wife, Carol, in Columbus, Georgia where they have spent 57 happy years together. He was a Partner of Alliance Sports Group for 38 years. A member of St. Luke Methodist Church in Columbus, Georgia, he attended the men’s Bible Study Group and was a member of the Discovery Sunday School Class.
Randall will always be remembered for his outstanding integrity, strong work ethic, remarkable resilience, and his unwavering respect for others. He was a devoted family man who cherished his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and loved sharing his stories with his family, which always made them laugh. As a die-hard Georgia football fan, he found great joy in watching the Dawgs win.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rosa and Calvin Godwin and his sister Sheryl Godwin.
Randall is survived by his loving wife; Carol Gordon, daughters; Kimberly Pickering and Caron Harrison (Joe), grandchildren; Nola and Cade Pickering, and siblings; Debi Collins (Gary) and Kevin Godwin (Emma).
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Methodist Church, 1104 2nd Ave, Columbus, Georgia 31901. The family will receive friends in the parlor of the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
