Ruth Katharina Elisabeth Morris

Ruth K. E. Morris passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 in Birmingham, AL. Born on January 28,1929 in Magdeburg, Germany. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Aloysius and Elisabeth Groening; her husband, Mack A. Morris; her brothers, Dieter, Horst and Manfred Groening; and her sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Pierre and husband Greg of Birmingham, AL.; her sons, Fred Morris and Patrick Fox of Columbus GA and Tim Vicknair of Raliegh, North Carolina; her grandsons, Lee Pierre and JP Pierre of Birmingham, AL; her granddaughter, Maggie Vicknair of New York; and her great-granddaughter, Melina Pierre.

She was a beautiful person, inside and out! Always kind, loving, hard working and taking care of her family!

Her kind and gentle soul will be missed by all!

A Cryptside Service will be held at Parkhill Cemetery, The Chapel of the Pines, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 3:00PM. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations in Ruth's Memory to The House of Heroes, Inc. in Columbus GA.
