His family will gather to visit with friends on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, Georgia with a graveside funeral service in Parkhill Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
Robert was born on November 21, 1956 in Columbus, Georgia to Annie Childers Rooks and the late Burnice Rooks. He was an automobile mechanic and loved cars and trucks especially the classics. Robert was a loving son, brother and father. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and especially loved him.
He leaves his loving mother, Annie “Ann” Rooks; his brother, Larry Rooks; his children Timothy, Tracy, Renee and Robert; several nieces, nephews and other relatives; a host of friends and his faithful canine companion, Tiny to cherish his loving memory.
Robert was one of the most free hearted person in the world, he would do anything for anyone.
