Robert C Fouche Jr passed peacefully July 15, 2020 after a long struggle with cancer. He was born November 6, 1941 in Columbus, Georgia, son of Robert C. Fouche, Senior and Charlotte Smith Fouche. Robert graduated from Columbus High School in 1959, attended Columbus College and Auburn College before enlisting in the Navy from 1962 to 1966 where he served on the USS Proteus, a nuclear sub tender. Following his military service, he married Martha Jennette Allen of Columbus. They celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. Robert was a lifetime Christian Soldier whose faith and service to the church and his fellow man positively impacted everyone he met.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Charlotte Fouche; and his sister, Sharon Fouche Turner. He is survived by his wife, Martha Allen Fouche; son, Robert B. Fouche, and his wife, Amy, of White Plains, AL; his daughter, Stacy Fouche Tuttle, and her husband, Ron, of Marietta, GA; and four grandchildren, Christopher Tuttle, Sarah Tuttle, Alex Fouche and Anna Fouche.
Due to the current environment, private services will be held at Park Hill Cemetery on Saturday, July 18, 2020. This service will be streamed at 1 pm EST live at https://www.facebook.com/StrifflerHamby/.
The family would like to express their gratitude for all who have reached out and apologize for having to limit the number of attendees to memorial events. Robert would not want anyone to feel excluded from any celebration of his life. He will be waiting in heaven to greet all of you.
