Ricky Burt was born on September 5, 1968 to the late Cecil Burt and Cynthia Sue Davis deBrabant. Ricky graduated in 1986 from Shaw High School in Columbus.
Ricky was a loving son and brother. He had a kind demeanor and was always willing to help out family and friends when needed. There weren’t many things that he could not help with when called upon. From electronics, to carpentry, to automobiles, he had many talents. Ricky spent the past several years working as a machinist at Goldens Foundry. His coworkers enjoyed working with him and acknowledged his contributions.
Ricky is survived by his mother, Cynthia Sue deBrabant of Columbus, GA; his sister, Lisa Burt of Columbus, GA; his step-brother, Mike deBrabant, of Columbus, GA, and his step-sister, Michelle Lee, of Johns Creek, GA. He is preceded in death by his father Cecil Burt and his stepfather, Eugene deBrabant.
A visitation for family and friends for Ricky will be held Wednesday, June 14 from 1:00-2:00 with a memorial service immediately following at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907.
