Rena Watson

Rena L. Watson, 71, of Columbus, GA passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Columbus Hospice Midtown West. Funeral Service is scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Northside Baptist Church, 959 54th Street Columbus, GA 31904, with Reverend Jerry Speer officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00-5:00 P.M. in the Wildwood Room of Striffler-Hamby.

Mrs. Watson, daughter of the late Lamar Grady Lindsey and Lemma Virginia Folds, was born October 3, 1943 in Fife, AL. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mrs. Watson was an Accountant for the School Food Services of the Muscogee County School District. She loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Donald Watson of Columbus, GA; daughters Wendy Massey (Mark) of Phenix City, AL, Melanie Greene (Charles) of Starkville, MS and Kimberly Stocks (Robert) of Milton, GA; son Jeff Watson (Rachel) of Marietta, GA; grandchildren Evin Massey, Adam Massey, Will Greene, Matt Greene, Blake Bourne (Jodi), Logan Cotton (Ed), and Jeffrey Watson; great grandchildren Brantley Cotton, Brock Bourne, and Mason Bourne; brother-in-law Ronald Watson; and extended family Joe and Jeanette Ruiz.

Flowers will be accepted, those wishing to make memorial contributions may do so at Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road Columbus, GA 31909 or to the Building Fund at Northside Baptist Church.
