Prue Wilson

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 25, 2022 in Parkhill Cemetery with Dr. Kevin Calhoun and Reverend Lynn McManious officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Prue was born January 15, 1928 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Sherard P. and Cecile Coker Wilson. He worked for, and retired from the Hardaway Company after 16 years of service. Prue served in U.S. Army and was a WWII and Korean War veteran. He was a member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church and taught the Joyful Fellowship Sunday School Class.

In addition to his parents, Prue was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Wilson, three brothers, and two sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife of 74 years, Tudy Wilson; three sons, Rocky Wilson and his wife, Ann, Charles Wilson and his wife, Pam, and Andrew Wilson and his wife, Linda; one daughter, Cynthia Hainan; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Prue, to the Columbus Hospice House or to the Valley Rescue Mission.
