A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Travis Rigsby officiating at Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church, 6304 Lynridge Ave, Columbus, GA. Family will visit one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service in Parkhill Cemetery.
She was born on August 18, 1940 to the late Ruth Trawick and Crate Trawick. Pat was a graduate of Jordan Vocational High School in Columbus, Class of “58. She was married to the late William H. Parker. She worked as a bookkeeper and an office manager at Pepsi Cola/Buffalo Rock from 1972 until 2003. Once she retired, she could not sit still so she took multiple other jobs with T-Mobile, H&R Block, All-Star Realty and Langley-Williams Tax Service doing tax preparation. She attended Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church and was very active as a Sunday School teacher, in Golden Age and was treasurer of the WMU. Pat was a member of the Georgia Elk's Association and held several offices there. She was in the ABWA, held various offices there and received the Tri-City Council Area ABWA woman of the year.
Pat always wanted to give back so she volunteered at the mission Columbus/Columbus Baptist Association.
She was very loving, big-hearted, selfless and would do anything for anyone and always did. Pat was the happiest when she was with all of the family spending time together during the holidays, birthdays or family reunions. It brought the biggest smiles and joy to her to have everyone together in one place. She was the sweetest friend to everyone who knew her. She loved her family, friends and God.
Pat is preceded in death by her father, Crate Trawick; mother Ruth Tucker;
Stepfather Kerney G. Tucker; husband William H. Parker; daughter Michelle Whitman and grand-daughter Jessica Clark.
She is survived by her sons Michael Williams of Smith's Station, AL and Scott Williams (Melissa) of Duluth, Ga., a daughter Sandra Scroggins(Tommy) of Phenix City, AL as well as two step daughters Barbara Parker McCain (Eddie) and Billie Jo Parker (Timmy) both of Chillicothe, Ohio. She had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
