Pam, the eldest of four children, was born on May 15, 1956, in Columbus, GA, to parents Edward Earl and Geraldine Taylor. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1974. Pam worked for many years at the DMV and was a very active member of Edgewood Baptist Church. In 1999, Pam married Steve Randall who is the love of her life and a wonderful step-dad to her sons. Pam loved many things, including animals, reading, and going on adventures with Steve and the family, but her passion was found in being a mother and grandmother. The only thing she loved more than her eleven grandchildren was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Even her battles with illness could not stop her smiles and laughter, and her grandchildren always knew they could find love and comfort in Mimi’s arms. She provided care, education, wisdom, laughter and a safe environment for all of them and supported them in everything they did, from band concerts and soccer games to dance recitals and everything in between. Most of all, Mimi instilled a legacy of faith in her children and grandchildren that will be passed down for generations.
“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.” Deuteronomy 7:9 (NIV)
Pam was preceded in death by her father, Edward Earl Taylor and her brother, Earl Taylor.
Pam leaves behind many who loved her, including her beloved husband, Steve Randall. She is also survived by her son, Brian Hale and his wife Jenny and their sons Hagan (13), Liam (10), Callan (6) and Finn (3), by her son, Jeremy Hale and his wife Lori and their children Carter (10) and Larsen (9), by her son, Ben Hale and his wife Denisse and their children Lorelai (11), Milo (8), Silas (7), and Emilia (5) and by her step-daughter Sabrina Randall and daughter Stevi (8). She is also survived by her mother Mrs. Geraldine Taylor, her sister Cheryl Freeman and family, and her brother Chris Taylor.
Because Pam lived her life to the glory of Jesus, her Savior, we know we will see her again.
“Our friends, we want you to know the truth about those who have died, so that you will not be sad, as are those who have no hope.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13 (GNT)
Pam’s favorite verse:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…” Isaiah 43:2-3
