Myrtle L. Brown, 93 of Columbus, Georgia passed away on August 23, 2018. She was born on October 8, 1924 in Montezuma, Georgia to the late Annie Shelton Ellison and Claude Ellison. Mrs. Brown was married to the late William C. Brown. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown retired from TG&Y as a bookkeeper.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Burnette of Carrollton, Ga. and a son, William “Bill” Brown and his wife Sandra who live in Columbus, Ga. She had four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and twelve great great grandchildren.
Another daughter, Melba Sasser who was married to Earl Sasser passed away in 2011.
Family will visit with friends on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, Georgia. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM in Evergreen Memory Gardens on St. Mary’s Road, Columbus, Georgia.
