Matthew Terrell Collins, Jr.

Matthew (AKA The Favorite) was born to Dawanna Collins and the late Matthew Collins, Sr. on April 21st, 1995, at the Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

His survivors include his mother, Dawanna Collins, Waverly Hall, GA. His sisters and brother-in-laws: Brent and Tabetha Marie Grantham, Hamilton, GA, and Brandon and Terri Sue Sanders, Midland, GA. His half-brother, Jeremy Tripp (Mandi), Columbus, GA. His Uncle Bubby, crew of nieces and nephews: Aurora Elizabeth Grantham, age 5, Grayson Luke Sanders, age 5, identical twins Owen Liam Clark Sanders, age 20 months, Pearson Allen Reece Sanders, age 20 months, Gregory Cole Grantham, age 12, and nieces Kamille Rose Tripp, age 12, and Scarlet Estelle Tripp, age 10 and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. His honorary brothers/sister/niece and best friends: Dustin Longnion, wife Jordan Longnion, and daughter Skadi Jean Longnion, age 1 month, Weatherford, TX and Nick Karm, Columbus, GA. Matthew was preceded in death by his nephew 1 day old Caden Allen Sanders.

We will carry on his legacy of family, love, strength, and a heart devoted to others, not excluding his no filter humor, just the way he would have wanted us to. In a tragic accident, Matthew Terrell Collins, Jr., and his father Matthew Collins, Sr., best friends, lost their lives together.
