Mary Elizabeth Chappell Weddle

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Columbus. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.

Mary Beth was born on July 16, 1946 to Van Ness Chappell and Louise Cline Chappell in Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Ritz High School in Evansville, Indiana in 1964. Following high school, she attended Indiana University. She married John R. Weddle on July 22, 1967. Mary Beth retired in 2012 after 18 years of service at Jay Automotive.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, John R. Weddle; her children, Beth (Chris) Lowe of Pavillion, NY, Robert (Carrie) Weddle of Easton, CT, and John T. (Carly) Weddle of Columbus, GA; her grandchildren, Ryan, Cody, Lindsay, Jack, Brandon, Tucker, Mason and Rees; her brother Edwin Chappell; her sister Ruth (Hap) Davis; and her kitty Molly.
