Margaret Pelham Wise

Margaret Pelham Wise, age 88, resident of Columbus, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services are scheduled on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00am at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wise, daughter of the late Annie Lee Webb Pelham and C.J. Pelham, was born September 9, 1927 in Dothan, Alabama. She was Christian by faith and her love for our Lord Jesus Christ, Mrs. Wise attended Golden Acres Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Preston Edward Wise; sons, David O’Neal Wise and Donnie Wayne Wise; grandson, Scott Storey; brother, Alwyn O’Neal Pelham; sisters, Melba Lee Pelham Brogdon, Willie Laurriane Pelham Hornbuckle, and Jimmie Ann Pelham Smith.

Mrs. Wise is survived by her children, Joseph Alan Wise (Janet), James Michael Wise, Shelia LeAnn Wise Thatch (Steve), Sharon Lynn Wise Storey; daughter-in-law, Barbara Jean McPherson Wise; sister, Judy Brown (Ray); grandchildren, Bonnie Wise Brown, Nikki Wise Kingrey, Kelly Wise Williams, Sherry Wise Donaldson, Brent Wise, Brooke Wise Bennifield; seventeen great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
