Margaret "Peggy" Ann Hardy Mahon

Margaret “Peggy” Ann Hardy Mahon, 86, of Columbus, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 in Valrico, Florida. Funeral Services are scheduled on Monday, August 28, 2017, 11:00am, at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Jeremiah McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow at Parkhill.

Mrs. Mahon, daughter of the late Horace Alton Hardy and Marguerite Bowen Hardy, was born September 10, 1930 in Wewahitchka, Florida. She was a Retired Elementary Teacher for Muscogee County School District and Ft. Benning dependent schools. Mrs. Mahon was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Mrs. Mahon was a very thoughtful and caring person and sewed all her life for family and friends. After retirement, she continued to sew clothing and donated them to Catholic Charities for those in need.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Littleton Mahon; daughter, Deborah Patrick; and brother, Aubrey Hardy.

She will be dearly missed by her sons, John Mahon (Caroline), Alex Mahon (Justine); daughter, Catherine Morrow (Brad); grandchildren, Tara (Brad), Rebecca, Lauren (Toby), John, Emma, Jesse, John, Rachael, Nathan, Renee, Morgan; great-grandchildren, Lena, Selena, and Reid.
