A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus. Her family will visit with friends from 1:00 pm until time of the service.
Mrs. Mosley was born on September 17, 1936 in Lanett, Alabama to the late Lois Burke and J.C. Burke. She was a graduate of Lanett High School and Judson College. Mrs. Mosley began her teaching career in Savannah, Georgia going on to teach also at Rothschild Jr. High, Glenwood High School and was presently teaching at Hallie Turner Private School. She taught the subjects of Science, Biology, and Chemistry. Mrs. Mosley attended Waldrop Memorial Baptist. She was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan, enjoyed traveling with her loving husband, Tom to Biloxi, Mississippi and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Tom Mosley of Columbus; son, Tim Mosley of Dearing, Georgia; daughter, Tina Mosley Arnold and her husband Howie of LaGrange, Georgia; brother, James C. Burke, Jr. and his wife Gail of Wilmington, NC;sister, Nancy Brown and her husband Bill of Burkburnett, Texas; eight grandchildren; Kristen Arnold Thompson and her husband Heath, Amber Arnold, Justin Arnold, David Mosley, Dalton Mosley, Miranda Mosley, McKinley Mosley, and Thomas Mosley;numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
