Columbus, GA- Margaret Tolleson Carter, 92, of Columbus, GA, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014, at Spring Harbor in Columbus. She was born April 18, 1922 in Compass Lake, FL to her late parents, James and Pearl Kimbrel. Margaret loved being a homemaker, wife, mother, Grandmother "Honey", and friend. As a consummate hostess, she enjoyed entertaining, and always had a very active social life. She loved to travel, especially with family and friends.

The family will receive guests, Saturday, January 10, 2015, 10:30-12:30 in The Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA, for a Memorial Celebration of Her Life and Visitation.

Along with her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by husband, Donald Madison Tolleson, and husband, Joseph Edward Carter; son Donald Lee Tolleson; and Sister and Brother In-law, Mary Helen and Woody Eubanks. She is survived by her daughter, Lane Tolleson (Larry) Adams of Hamilton, GA; step children, Bob (Carol) Carter of Fort Walton, FL, Bill (Ann) Carter of Carrollton, GA, and Jan (Charles) King of Palm City, FL; six grandchildren, Brian (Aaron) Tolleson, Ashley (Darrel) Vannoy, Kevin (Carla) Tolleson, Jason (Ashley) Whitman, Greg Adams and Anita Adams; two nieces, one nephew, and ten great grandchildren.
