She was the daughter of Robert and Annie Johnson. She was married to Joseph Barron and Luther Beacraft. She is survived by two sons, Richard (Nancy) and Ronald; one grandson, Max; one sister, Dorothy Mitchell; and her good friend, Shirley Labiak.
Margaret graduated from Americus High School in GA and earned an Associate’s Degree from GA Southwest University. She was employed for 41 years with the phone company, starting with C&P of VA and ending with Verizon.
She enjoyed traveling the US and abroad, and led many trips with FUN Tours.
She was a longtime member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church and the Telephone Pioneers of America, Local 2201.
