Louem H. Garnto

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 2:00 in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA, with Reverend Paul Thomas and Revered Bud Rupel officiating. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Louem was born on May 23, 1913 in Johnson County, GA. to the late Claude Duvall Henderson and Mary Elizabeth McNeal Henderson.

She lived in Columbus for most of her life and retired from Bibb Manufacturing where she worked as a Spinner for 26 years. Her husband Vernon Lawton Garnto, a son, Bill E. Garnto and a daughter, Shirley O. Smith preceded her in death.

Survivors include her four children, Abner B. Garnto and wife Martha of Phenix City, AL, Alton R. Garnto of Columbus, GA, Lawton V. Garnto of Waverly Hall, GA, and Ben E. Garnto and wife Sandra of Phenix City, AL. 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
