Columbus, Georgia- Lola J. Allen, 73, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Monday March 25, 2013 at the Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday March 28, 2013 at the Central Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Pope, Reverend Udell Addison and Reverend Gary Richardson officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Allen was born August 9, 1939 in Slocomb, Alabama daughter of Monroe Jones and Essie B. Jones and also preceded in death by her 4 brothers, Gerald Jones, Charles D. Jones, K.M. Jones, Wayne Jones and Vivian Jones. She was retired quality control with Kemet Electronics and a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Allen, her daughter, Patricia Ann Carter and her husband David, brothers, J.D. Jones and Louie Jones, sister Voncille Wilson, grandchildren Heather Baker and her husband Robert, Jonathan Carter, Michelle Belarens and her husband Curtis, great grandchildren, Robert Allen Baker, Jonah Baker, Jacob Baker, Aaron David Baker, Isaiah Baker, Cody Becraft and Travis Becraft.
