Miss LaRissa Nicole Dozier

LaRissa N. Dozier December 30, 1989 - March 20, 2010 COLUMBUS, GA — LaRissa N. Dozier, 20, of Columbus died Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 24, 2010 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Dawn Richards officiating. The family will receive friends, Tuesday evening, March 23, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Ms. Dozier was born December 30, 1989 in Columbus, GA to Rebecca Lenhart and Gary Dozier. She was a graduate of Kendrick High School in 2008. LaRissa attended school at Rainbow Center at the Cathedral of Prayer on Buena Vista Rd. She participated in the Special Olympics every year and attended Camp Big Heart in Winder, GA every summer. Her final contribution in life was to give the gift of sight to someone less fortunate than her.

LaRissa was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Mable and John Lenhart and Rance and Mary Dozier. Survivors include her mother, Rebecca Lenhart and father Gary Dozier, both of Columbus GA; two sisters, Tyra and Zoie Dozier of Columbus GA; grandparents, Lucille Lovett, Marshal Dozier, Diane (Craig) Patterson, all of Columbus, GA and Joseph (Pamela) Lovett of Harrisville, PA; aunts and uncle, Dottie Lenhart, Tina Dozier, Hilary (Antwonescus) Upshaw and Rodney Dozier, all of Columbus, GA; several cousins and a host of other family members and friends.
