Kim Elizabeth Joiner, 63, of Manchester, Georgia, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. A celebration of life honoring Kim was held on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, Georgia.
Kim was born in Columbus, Georgia, on September 18, 1958. She graduated from Manchester High School. She attended Columbus State University and graduated with an Education Specialist degree.
At the time of her death, Kim was employed by the Meriwether County School District. Kim’s career included several years with the Talbot County School District and the Talbot County Tax Commissioner’s office.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Billy Jasper Moore; her mother, Louise Collier Holmes; and her stepfather, Henry Gene Holmes.
Those left to treasure her memory are her sons, Calvin Ellis Weatherford III and his wife, Krysten, and Douglas Cameron Joiner and his wife, Luna; her granddaughter, Tatum Grace Weatherford; her sisters, Lynn Curry and her husband, Russell, and Debra Hale; and a host of family, friends, and co-workers.
