Kenneth L. Bailey

Kenneth L. Bailey, age 80, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM. A Graveside Celebration of Kenneth's life will take place Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907.

Kenneth was born July 12, 1939 in Jefferson County, Iowa to his late parents, Ethel Maye Churchill Bailey and Howard Kenneth Bailey. He was a faithful Christian who worked hard to raise his family. Along with his family, Kenneth enjoyed deer hunting and working cross word puzzles. He set an example for his children to be honest and to love each other. Kenneth will forever be remembered as a hard-working employee that loved the Lord, his family and sports.

Preceding Mr. Bailey in death are his parents, Ethel Maye Churchill Bailey and Howard Kenneth Bailey; brother, Carroll Ross Bailey; granddaughter, Susan Ashley Gibson; son-in-law, Pete Gibson; and nephew, Steven Michael Bailey.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Howell Bailey; daughters, Rhonda Gaye Bailey Westbrook, Dana Lee Bailey Westbrook, Kim Stephanie Bailey Jarvis, Melissa Candice Hart, and Tracy Leigh Hart; and his brother, Robert Dean Bailey. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Christopher Bryan Westbrook, Stephanie Gibson Dennison, Dave Westbrook, Kristin Westbrook Ballenger, Philip Scott Gibson, Courtney Gibson Morgan, Michael Ryan Jarvis, Brittany Westbrook Posey, Joseph Morgan Hart, Katherine Hope Westbrook, Alexandria Kirstie Hart, David Isaiah Westbrook, Gabriel Elijah Westbrook, Ricky John Mark Westbrook, Matthew Josiah Westbrook, and Jeremiah Luke Westbrook. Mr. Bailey also leaves behind 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

Pallbearers for Mr. Bailey include: Philip Scott Gibson, Bryan Westbrook, Michael Ryan Jarvis, Joseph Morgan Hart, Fred Morgan, and Michael Dennison.
