Julie Sewell

A gathering of family and friends for Julie will be on Sunday, July 24, 2022 in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

Julie loved her family and enjoyed spending time traveling, working with her plants, and being a grandmother. She was the universe to her husband, John. She married John on February 4, 1979, together they raised three sons and made Columbus, Georgia home. Julie was Christian by faith, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and especially loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Owens Ligon; her sister Tresa Morrow and her brother, Nick Ligon.

Julie’s loving memory will be cherished by her loving husband, John Sewell; her sons: Shawn Sewell, J.J. Sewell, and Jamie Sewell (Erica); her grandchildren: Kayleigh Sewell, Taryn Sewell, Jayden Sewell, Ridley Sewell, David Sewell, Maylani Sewell, Gunner Sewell, and Freya Sewell; her father, Bill Ligon; her sister, Donna Panky; her brother, Mike Ligon; and a host of other family and friends.
