Joseph “Joe” Jefferson Davis, age 63, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 3:00 PM in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and the service will be officiated by Jerry Speer, pastor of Northside Baptist Church.
Joe was born August 29, 1956, the son of Bettie Hall Davis and Ralph Davis. Joe graduated from Marion County High School and North Georgia Technical College. He was employed by BCBS of GA, IBM, Pomeroy and Sam’s Club. Joe was a quiet man, he was kind, humble, and accepting of others. He enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening, and fishing. He loved God and spending time with his family.
Joseph is preceded in death by his father Ralph Davis and mother Bettie Davis; his brother Ralph "Butch" Davis.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Linda J. Hayes Davis; stepson Jeff Hayes (Maria) and their children, stepson Justin Hayes (Elizabeth) and their children; sister Dona Rachmel, sister Sue Fowler and sister Melissa Foster; and several nieces and nephews.
