I'm so saddened by this news. Joe was one of my favorite people from St. Francis. I'll never forget helping him get ready for the talent show where he sang Ring of Fire dressed as Johnny Cash. We sat in his office and broke down the lyrics and phrasing. He was so committed to excellence!! It has been a few years since we talked...ironically right after my father passed away...but I will always remember him with a smile. Joan, my thoughts and prayers are with you. 

I met Joe shortly after moving to Columbus about 10 years ago. I didn't know too many people at the time, but we both had a passion for the game of tennis. Joe was my tennis team captain for most of these past ten years. Truly, he was much more than that; he was a good friend. While I am devastated by his passing, I am forever grateful for the gift of our paths crossing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Joe's was a life that undeniably blessed so many.

Although I had not known him for as long as many of his good friends I feel a lasting impression from him on my life.  Our talks about our relationship with Christ, family, friends and life circumstances was more encouragement to me that I am sure he realized.  He is sorely missed but I will cherish those moments.  My wife and I pray peace and comfort to the family and friends of Joe Cardona.  We will meet again, my brother.  Tommy and Latoya Johnson

Frank and I worked at Synovus with Joseph along with other extended family and friends and we all are so sad for your loss. To all of Joseph's family, I am so sorry to hear of his death. We worked together in IT at the Columbus Consolidated Government. Joseph was a good guy, and always would joke around. In fact, he would "kid-around" so much, that when he said his sister was married to my cousin (who lived out of town).... I made him show me pictures before I would believe him.

My heart goes out to all of you at this time-praying the the One who knows our hearts with bring comfort and peace as you grieve for Joe.

So sorry about Joe. He and I played singles a couple of time in the past month and he really was a great guy. His tennis family will miss him and our thoughts are with you.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joseph several years ago at Synovus data. We became quick friends. I don't know of many people who could make me  laugh as hard as he could. I know he loved life and loved his family. He will be missed.

I met Joseph at Synovus Data many years ago.  He was a great teammate and friend.  We talked just last week of having lunch again after my vacation.  I admired him and cared about him.  I know he cared for his family very much and I know he loved his grandchildren.  I will pray for your comfort and blessings in this time of sorrow.  He will be missed greatly.

I worked with Joseph at Synovus Data and then TSYS.  He always had a kind word or something silly to say that would make you smile.  He loved his family and enjoyed life.  My sympathy to his family.

Joan, I don't know where to start. Like everyone, we are still in a state of shock. We love Joe. He had been a member of our family for the past 40 years. And Joan,you could never know how much we love you. Our hearts break for you.If only there were words to say to help you through this time. But there isn't. I would give my life to take this off you.
