Jose Angel Rivera

Jose Angel Rivera, age 69, resident of Columbus, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Funeral services are scheduled at Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus on Monday, May 14, 2018, 3 p.m. with Reverend Dennis Lacy and Reverend Mike McBride officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Rivera, son of the late Jose Cartagena Rivera and Ana Olga Calcorzi Figueroa Rivera, was born July 27, 1948 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. He was employed by Bell South Telephone Company, where he faithfully worked for many years.

He is survived by one daughter, Olga Angelic "Angie" Day and her husband Joseph Brent Day; one grandson, Samuel Elijah Day; three sisters, Enid M. Baez, Milagros Rivera, and Gladys Webb; one brother, Hector Rivera and his wife Monika; nieces, Elizabeth Rivera, Tracy Webb, and Leslie Webb; nephew, Robert Rivera; other relatives and friends.
