Joanne Knighton Cole

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday July 17, at Wynnton United Methodist Church, Columbus. The Reverend J. Grantham will officiate. Family will greet visitors at 9:00 A.M. in the Fellowship Hall at the church.

Mrs. Cole, daughter of the late Perkins Knighton and Rosa Wilkerson Knighton was born October 2, 1930 in Columbus, Georgia. She was a homemaker and avid gardener. She was an active member of Wynnton United Methodist Church for sixty-five years. She was a secretary at St. Luke United Methodist Church for many years and retired at the age of 70.

She is survived by her sister, Nancy Garrett (Billy), of Macon, Georgia; her two daughters, Kathy Cole Wolfe (Michael) of Pine Mountain, Georgia, Margaret Cole Whitaker (Jerry) of Fayetteville, Georgia; two grandchildren, Chris Wolfe (Jenny) and Amy Wolfe Glass (Joel); three great-granddaughters, Madison, Rachel, Chloe Wolfe, and nieces and nephews.
