Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. Graduated from Columbus High School in 1949 and attended University of GA. She enjoyed working with her hands creating beautiful works of art, sewing, needlework, knitting, painting and pottery. She loved watching her grandsons participating in different sports through the years.
Survivors include her daughter, Jena (Mote) Andrews; her grandchildren, Mote W. Andrews IV, Bobby (Macy) Andrews; her great-grandchild, Meriwether B. Andrews. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bobby) Magoni and her son, Matthew H. Magoni.
Private burial will take place in Parkhill Cemetery with her immediate family. Family will visit with friends at Mote and Jena Andrews’ home on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.
