Born, April 7, 1947, in Andalusia, Alabama he is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Culpepper Weaver, parents, Charlie H. Weaver and Earline Fountain Weaver, and his sister Sherry Weaver Wood.
Jimmy was a graduate of Baker High School, in Columbus, Georgia. After graduation, he entered the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. Upon leaving the Army, he joined his father in the grocery business and ran Jimmy’s Pack-A-Sak in Phenix City. Later he would go on to become the owner of Air Flow Awning Co. in Columbus. He retired from Air Flow after thirty years.
Jimmy loved socializing with his groups of friends, over a cup of coffee. He was a Waffle House regular where he met many of his best friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved watching the Crimson Tide. He loved to travel and took numerous cruises, all over the world, with his wife, aunts, and sisters.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Jimmy “Jimbo” Weaver, Jr., daughter-in-law, Robin Weaver, son, Ken Weaver, grandchildren, Ally Weaver, Kendall Weaver, Garret Weaver, Blake Lorentz, Leslie (AJ) Jackson, and two great-grandchildren, James Jackson, and Madelyn Jackson. He is also survived by his long-time, devoted friend, Joyce Osborne, two sisters, Gayle Head and Deborah Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, Georgia 31907. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby with Reverend Tommy Fountain officiating. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.
