Jean Marie Ann Whitehead

Jean Marie Ann Schwoebel Whitehead, age 68, of Columbus Georgia passed away of February 15, 2023 surrounded by her family. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery 553 Hwy 165 Fort Mitchell, Alabama.

Jean was born on June 11, 1954 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey; the daughter of John Peter Schwoebel and Beverly Mae Volz Schwoebel. She married the love of her life, Randolph Joseph Whitehead in Belmar, N.J. in 1978. Jean had a big heart and was willing to help anyone. She was a mother to everyone. Jean was always happy and strived to make others happy too.

Jean is preceded in death by: her loving husband, Randolph; and a brother, William Schwoebel.

Survivors include: a son, John Yunek; a daughter, Sheila (Ronnie) Bauer; a son William (Marla) Whitehead; a daughter, Kathleen Whitehead; five grandchildren, Brooke Whitehead, Michael Whitehead, Jaden Whitehead, Madison Whitehead, John Steven Whitehead; her siblings, Kristie Fitzpatrick, John Peter Schwoebel, and Karen Carlone.
