A celebration of Scot’s life will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. with Chaplain Mike Fortenberry officiating.
Scot was born January 2, 1975 in Ft. Benning, GA. to Doris Thompson of Phenix, AL. and
James C. Simmons of Ozark, AL. He was a lifelong area resident and was employed by Valley Fir & Redwood as a specialist in the mill work department. Scot was a simple man, he enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, Alabama Football and his Pit Bull “Bama”
Survivors include his mother, Doris Thompson and husband Terry of Phenix City, AL. and father, James C. Simmons of Ozark, AL. two sons, Jacob Simmons and Jesse Simmons both of Cottonwood, AL. a brother, Kevin Simmons and wife Elizabeth of Phenix City, AL. his faithful Pit Bull, “Bama” and a host of other family and good friends.
