James’ proudest accomplishment was his three children and supporting their aspirations. He was an avid lover of all sports, especially Alabama football. He was a member of Glenn Anthony Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marti Luker; his children, Marianna Luker, Damon Luker, Brandon Luker; his parents, John and Patricia Luker; his brother, Johnny Luker; his uncle and aunt, Richard Ellis Johnson and Leann Johnson and family. James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aubrey E. and Evelene Bates Johnson.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 3:00PM. Rev. Allison Owen officiating service. Family will visit with friends at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in the Mill Room, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 on Wednesday evening, March 15, 2023 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
