James Michael Casey, 74, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at his residence. A funeral service for Michael will be held on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at 2:00PM in the Edgewood Hall Chapel of Striffler-Hamby with visitation one hour prior.
Mike was born on August 20, 1947, in Columbus, Georgia to the late James L. and Margie Ree Casey. He graduated from Central High School in Phenix City, AL. Mike married the love of his life, Carmen, on May 24, 1975 and spent 46 cherished years together. He worked as an Inventory Clerk for Columbus State University and was a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. In his younger years Mike enjoyed golf, and was a lifelong Alabama Football fan. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Margie.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 46 years, Carmen Casey; son, Christopher Casey and his wife Jamie; grandchildren, Braxton, Reece and Cole Casey; one sister, Connie Goff and her husband Gary; one niece, Kasey Munoz.
