James W. "Daddy James" Bryan

Family will visit with friends on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, Georgia. A procession will follow into Parkhill Cemetery with a graveside funeral service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Travis Rigsby officiating.

"Daddy James" loved his back porch where he played endless games to include, dominos, cards and listening to southern gospel music. The back porch was the place to be, he enjoyed being outdoors, this is where most people came to visit and share/made many memories and laughable moments. "Daddy James" also enjoyed golf, NASCAR, fishing, and Georgia Bulldogs football.

James leaves his loving memory to be cherished by his children, Sandra Diane (Patrick) Walsh, Barbara (Larry) Strickland, Bo (Zsuzsa) Tidwell, Linda (Dennis) Smith, and Gwen Tidwell; his ten loving grandchildren; his twenty-one loving great grandchildren; his brothers, Frank Bryan and Levis Bryan; and numerous other relatives as well as many friends.

James is preceded in death other than his parents, the love of his life, Evelyn "Ellen" Bryan; his siblings: Elbert Bryan, Robert Bryan, Jeanine McLeod, Barbara Odom, Ella Mae Bryan, and Terrell Bryan.
