James Allen

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 am, in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm, on Friday, February 5, 2016, at the funeral home.

Mr. Allen was born January 6, 1937 in Cordele, GA, to the late James Allen, Sr. and Gertrude McCullough. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees for 20 years. He worked for the V.A. Hospital in Biloxi, MS, for 20 years. He loved telling jokes and loved his family dearly.

Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Pat and his sister Jeane Pugne .

He is survived by his wife Pauline, his daughter Tricia (Don) of Ft. Worth, TX, and a step-son Mike (Rose) Ramsey. Also three grandchildren: Lindsay, Jackie, and Deidra Juetten of Ft. Worth, TX, and one great-granddaughter Arieng Morales of Ft. Worth, TX, two brothers Jerry (Terry) Allen of Ashland, VA, Jerome Allen of Big Bear California, and a sister Judy (Jerry) Williams of Phenix City, AL and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the wonderful loving nurses at St. Francis Hospital.
