Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday December 14, 2012 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 with burial to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. McFarland was born April 21, 1935 in Eckerty Indiana son of the late Guilder Smith McFarland and Novie Gilmore McFarland and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary M. Logan McFarland, a son, Patrick McFarland and his daughter, Jean Marx. Mr. McFarland was Technical Representative for Exxon Chemical Company.
Survivors include his sons, Kevin McFarland of Columbus, Michael Sean McFarland of Panama City, Florida, his daughter, Joan Manson of Parksburg, Pennsylvania, his sisters, Virginia Ray of Richmond, Indiana and LuAnn Davis of Liberty, Indiana, 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
