Howard Stephens Jr. was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served in the United States Marine Corps with the 1st Battalion, The Famed 6th Marine, 2nd Division. Upon leaving the Corp he became an office supply salesman calling on local businesses, which he did for over 40 years.
When his children were growing up, you would catch him running down the sidelines of the football field as his son ran for a touchdown, or in the audience at his girls performances and plays. He never missed a birthday party, special event or football game. He filled our home, hearts and memories with love.
He loved the Lord and loved to watch the news, but if you were to ask him what he liked to do or if he had any hobbies he would always say, “my only hobby is my wife”. He adored her with all of his being. Their love story was over 54 years strong and she never left his side.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Ethel; son - Howard “Bubba” Stephens III (Laurie); Daughters - Tammy D. Stephens and Millie S. Standridge; grandchildren- Dale Harbuck, Adam Harbuck, Richard Richardson, Krystle Kinard, Jordan Stephens, Koby Stephens, Morgan Standridge, Sara Standridge; Great Grandchildren- Heaven Harbuck, Christian Harbuck, Jesalyn Harbuck, Kayla Harbuck, Jazmyn Harbuck, Cheyenne Harbuck, Kendall Richardson, Blayne Richardson, Nathan Richardson; Great-Great Grandchildren – Raegan Harbuck and Addison Walters.
