Mr. Holt was born May 10, 1948 in Flushing, NY son of the late Henry R. Holt, Sr. and Nancy Armistead Holt. He was an Activity Therapist at West Central Georgia Regional Hospital for 6 years.
Nick fought a courageous battle against the ravages of Agent Orange exposure. It took a toll on his body, but his spirit remained determined and his gratitude doubled every day he lived. Gratitude for the usual things we take for granted, and he became very aware of the small but beautiful gifts of daily life we sometimes miss in our hurry to get through the day.
Stop and smell the roses? Nah, stop and smell where the next fishing hole was going to give up its’ catch? Yep.
He is now among his brothers who have also finished their walk through AO hell.
The loved ones left behind include his wife, Donna, his free spirit daughter, Annie, and his faithful son Michael and his family, Carla our wonderful daughter-in-law, and three grandkids who gave him so much happiness, Jake, Josh, and Hannah Grace. He is also survived by his much loved sister, Nancy Holt and niece, Jessica Olingy.
With every flight into Lao, Cambodia, and ‘Nam, he served our country with pride and the heart of a patriot. To this day, he loved this great nation and her defenders; past, present and those to come.
