Harvey was born on January 25, 1942 in Columbus to the late Harvey Franklin Brown and Agnes Ellerbee Brown. He served his country and community faithfully as a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War and Vietnam Conflict and as a law enforcement officer leading to his election as the Muscogee County Marshal. After medical retirement, he enjoyed family, hunting and fishing, NASCAR, and travel.
He is survived by his son Jeffrey Brown and his wife, Cory of Hamilton, Ga, their children Lydia and Hunter; his son Scott Brown and his wife, Tania and their daughters, Madison and Ericka Brown of Lawrenceville, Georgia; his sister, Gail Eaton; his brothers Travis Brown (Susan) and Hollis Brown (Maria). He was preceded in death by other than his parents, his loving wife, Margarette “Margie” Brown.
During this difficult time, the Brown family would like to offer their extreme gratitude to Mr. Brown's live-in caregiver, Robin Buster, for her loving spirit and kindness towards Harvey, especially when things got tough. Thank you, Robin, for all you have done and continue to do!
